Syntec Numérique calls for widespread use of its “Numeric’Emploi” scheme
Paris, September 26, 2019 – Faced with the unprecedented mutation of professional skills, and as all professions transform to integrate digital as their main dimension, training is more than ever a central issue. As the leading professional organization for companies in the sector, Syntec Numérique has made retraining a priority to meet the challenge of adapting the millions of people who lack the necessary skills to the millions of jobs emerging from the new digital world.
“Numéric’Emploi was set up by Syntec Numérique in the Grand Est region for companies in the digital sector, with the collaboration of the Regional Council and Pôle Emploi. This experiment, launched 6 years ago, has had positive results: 500 files processed per year, including over 200 trainees directed towards training courses with an insertion rate of 80%”, affirms Jean Rottner, President of the Grand Est Region.

“On the strength of the results achieved over the past 6 years in the Grand Est region, we are officially asking the Government to gradually roll out” Numeric’Emploi “on a national level, involving each of the major French regions, the regional departments of Pôle Emploi and professional organizations. We are convinced that retraining for digital professions is the major challenge of the coming years, and that” Numeric’Emploi “is the lever we need to meet it. This means, for example, extending the Skills Investment Plan (PIC) to include people with less than a bachelor’s degree, rather than just less than a bachelor’s degree, in digital professions”, says Godefroy de Bentzmann, President of Syntec Numérique.
