100 signatories to the #ReconversionFemmesNum Manifesto
100 companies have signed the Manifesto for the retraining of women in digital professions, just 6 months after its launch in May 2019 in the presence of Cédric O, Secretary of State for Digital at VivaTech.
Initiated by Syntec Numérique and Social Builder, the Manifesto aims to make gender diversity a reality in the digital professions, as women still represent only 27.5% of professionals in the sector.
The #ReconversionFemmesNum Manifesto is an ambitious commitment that translates into 6 flagship measures and quantified commitments by companies to increase the recruitment and presence of women in digital professions.
Through this Manifesto, Syntec Numérique and Social Builder aim to mobilize companies to implement actions to encourage the presence of women with varied career paths.
100 companies have signed up to this initiative, with the ambition of changing their approach to recruitment and career development.

6 commitments to change everything
#1 Broaden recruitment criteria – particularly for so-called technical professions – to take into account potential, cross-disciplinary skills, posture and the entire training program, whether initial or ongoing.
#2 Enhance the value of all types of career paths in the recruitment process.
#3 Recruit people of all ages, relying on their motivation, appetite, ability to adapt and learn.
#4 Set up actions and support systems to ensure the reception and integration of talent in transition to digital within the company.
#5 Support internal mobility by putting in place the resources and training needed to ensure individual career development.
#6 Train employees in practices favoring inclusion and gender equality.
At the end of each year, signatory companies will be required to communicate on a dedicated platform the number of women recruited externally or internally to retrain for jobs in the digital sector, and the actions implemented.
Next step: the publication of figures on the number of women recruited at a morning workshop on February 4.
“We are all unanimous in saying that we need more women in the digital professions, which are too under-represented today. Through this manifesto, we want to mobilize companies in all sectors on a massive scale, with the aim of multiplying actions to welcome women wishing to retrain.” Godefroy DE BENTZMANN – President of Syntec Numérique

“Let’s value professional retraining. Recruitment policies need to evolve and take into account lifelong learning and cross-disciplinary skills. Technical skills can be acquired throughout life.” Emmanuelle LARROQUE – CEO Social Builder
