Digital transformation projects are gaining momentum. SMACS growth advanced by +18.2% in 2016 to reach 16% of the software and IT services market.
After a difficult year in 2014, and a recovery in 2015, 2016 is shaping up to be a year of 2% growth for technology consulting. In the first quarter of 2016,the number of calls for tender increased for 43% of technology consulting players. Order books are stable for smaller structures, and improving for larger players.
Consulting and services posted +2.5% growth in 2016. The number of projects won for consulting and services players increased in the first quarter of 2016 for 68% of ESNs. So did their size for 45% of companies.
With growth of +3.6% in 2016, software publishing continues to progress. Order books are improving for almost half of all software publishers.
