RGPD: Syntec Numérique takes stock of its action plan
Informing, raising awareness and supporting digital companies is a key focus for Syntec Numérique, which has:
- presented RGPD issues in twenty French cities as part of Syntec Numérique’s Tour de France initiated in 2017,
- responded to hundreds of requests from members concerning the application of the RGPD,
- organized nearly ten conferences,
- published nearly ten PraTIC,
- gathered over forty reference documents and
- made the expertise of digital players available to its members, and then to all organizations, by offering a listing of support services dedicated to the RGPD and grouped into four categories: compliance audit/diagnosis/compliance plan, training and awareness-raising, outsourced personal data protection delegate, technical solutions (registration, erasure, security, anonymization, impact analysis, etc.).
Through its Legal and Institutional Relations Commissions, Syntec Numérique responded to consultations launched by the CNIL and the G29 with a view to drawing up several guidelines on the RGPD. It also contributed to the legislative debates aimed at adapting the amended January 6, 1978 law on information technology, files and freedoms by adopting a position paper which it shared with deputies and senators in the context of several hearings in particular, as well as with the Government.
Regarding the balance of contractual relations, Syntec Numérique has made comments on the CNIL subcontractor’s guide, used by many companies, so that an enriched version can be made available by the CNIL. It has also drafted a tool to help draft RGPD contractual clauses and will participate in the work undertaken by the Médiateur des Entreprises with other professional organizations.
On this day of May 25, the date of application of the RGPD, Syntec Numérique draws up a positive assessment of the implementation of its action planand undertakes to continue the actions undertaken with its members and the ecosystem as the RGPD still raises many questions concerning its application.
