RGPD: Syntec Numérique steps up mobilization in the home stretch

Jérôme Siméon, Chairman of the Legal Commission, reveals Syntec Numérique's RGPD action plan articulated around six key axes.
rn
A collection of dedicated PraTIC fact sheets
Syntec Numérique will complete its collection of PraTIC sheets with a specific collection dedicated to the RGPD: from the summary sheet of all the information and tools available to understand the obligations to be complied with to the precise steps to be taken. Thematic sections will also be addressed (social, health data, etc.).
Legal conferences
As part of its monthly legal conferences, Syntec Numérique will be devoting, as in 2016 and 2017, several legal conferences to the RGPD on targeted topics.
The RGPD imposes specific mentions in contracts binding subcontractors to their customers. Syntec Numérique will provide its members with a guide providing a basis for drafting and a negotiation tool in the contractual relationships that bind digital companies with their customers.
At the same time, and as part of the subcontractor guide published by the CNIL in September 2017, Syntec Numérique will continue its exchanges with the CNIL to share feedback from digital companies in the field.
In addition to the legal questions that every Syntec Numérique member can ask Syntec Numérique experts, web conferences will be organized once a month starting in December 2017 to answer questions previously asked by Syntec Numérique members and enable them to share the concrete issues they encounter on a daily basis as part of their compliance process.
Syntec Numérique will provide its members with a list of digital players, members of Syntec Numérique, offering services dedicated to supporting RGPD implementation (compliance audit, consulting and assistance, software solutions, outsourced personal data protection delegate, etc.).
Syntec Numérique will continue its work to contribute, via its Legal and Institutional Relations Commissions, to the consultations launched by the CNIL and the G29 with a view to the guidelines drawn up by the G29 on the RGPD. In addition, it will closely follow the legislative debates aimed at adapting the amended January 6, 1978 law on information technology, files and freedoms.
Syntec Numérique’s Legal Commission and permanent staff will be particularly active in implementing these initiatives. In addition, some of the content will be developed in collaboration with law firms with which Syntec Numérique regularly works, namely Derriennic et Associés, Flipo Avocat, PDGB Avocats and Quantic Avocats.
