As 2019 marked Syntec Numérique’s 50th anniversary, Godefroy de Bentzmann, who was re-elected to head the professional organization last June, looked back on the major events of the past year and recalled his priority projects for 2020:

  • Pursue efforts in favor of retraining and professional development, in order to offer people of all ages and career levels the opportunity to train in digital professions. Syntec Numérique has been working on these issues for several years, and intends to extend its Numeric’emploi retraining scheme to all regions.
  • Moving towards a more responsible digital industry to meet one of the major challenges of the years to come: while promoting new business models in line with the circular economy, the digital industry also contributes to global warming. In 2020, Syntec Numérique is committed to working on solutions to reduce this environmental footprint with the launch of a new “Responsible Digital” program.

Syntec Numérique is also strengthening its action in digital healthcare by welcoming the members of the LESISS federation, which brings together publishers of digital healthcare solutions. Its health committee will now be co-chaired by Isabelle Zablit, a Syntec Numérique board member and president of Clavesis, and Régis Sénégou, until now LESISS president and health market director of Docaposte, who replaces Olivier Vallet. Syntec Numérique salutes and warmly thanks Olivier Vallet for his work.

With the arrival of Lessis, Syntec Numérique will be even more representative of the diversity and richness of the sector, at a time when the digital transformation of the healthcare system is accelerating as part of the implementation of the MaSanté 2022 plan.

“As Chairman of Syntec Numérique, I’m delighted to be supporting our industry as it embarks on a new decade. Once again this year, Syntec Numérique’s roadmap demonstrates the extent to which digital technology is at the heart of society’s major changes. Pursuing our efforts to promote retraining in our professions and working towards a more eco-responsible industry are major challenges. There’s no doubt that these projects will keep us busy over the coming years, alongside Tech in France, with whom we are initiating joint projects. For now, let’s hope that 2020 will be the year of a more inclusive, ethical and responsible digital industry! said Godefroy de Bentzmann, President of Syntec Numérique.
