Now part of the French Ministry of the Economy and Productive Recovery, digital technology has become a government priority, and is at the heart of France’s economic strategies.
According to Guy Mamou-Mani, the new government’s main priorities are..:
Accelerating France’s digital transformation,to create the industries of the future and meet the challenges of business competitiveness.
– Training in digital professions, to address the problems of unemployment in France and give young people the opportunity to take up jobs that will play a key role in tomorrow’s economy.
– The modernization of government and citizen services, for “massive” use of technology by the French and to foster a genuine “digital culture”.
“We’re delighted that the digital sector has been given such an important role within the French government. It’s a strong sign, which gives us hope that Fleur Pellerin’s actions to promote the competitiveness and attractiveness of companies in the sector will continue, particularly on the international stage. The appointment of Axelle Lemaire reinforces our optimism: with her wealth of experience, she is committed to our issues and challenges”, comments Guy Mamou-Mani, President of Syntec Numérique.
