What you need to know:
The digital sector creates jobs:
- 150,000 net jobs created in the last 10 years.
- The sector employs over 510,484 people, 93.1% of them on permanent contracts.
The digital sector is positioned as a vector of innovation in most economic activities. Nevertheless, the recruitment difficulties faced by companies in this sector are affecting their business, their growth and, more generally, that of the French economy.
- 232,000 will be needed between 2017 and 2027 to meet market expectations.
- There is currently a shortage of technicians and engineers in France. There is an annual shortfall of 10,000 graduates, particularly in new sectors such as new energies, connected objects and data security.
We need to invest in training, whether initial, continuing or retraining, in order to train our citizens for the jobs of tomorrow.
- To this end, Syntec Numérique is carrying out or supporting a number of initiatives to attract a wide range of profiles to the digital sector and its professions: students, jobseekers and those with low-level qualifications.
- Syntec Numérique is proposing to roll out the Numéric’Emploi scheme nationwide. After 6 years of experimentation in the Grand Est region, the scheme has achieved an 80% integration rate.
