The current digital revolution is shaking up economic equilibria and transforming uses at a speed never seen before. It is affecting the activities, value chains and organizations of digital companies’ customers, as well as individuals in their daily lives and society in general. With this in mind, Syntec Numérique’s Innovation & Technologies Committee has produced a white paper analyzing the major digital innovations, their promises, uses and challenges, as well as their impact on companies in the sector.

A white paper to understand the challenges of major innovations and test your digital maturity

Syntec Numérique’s Innovation & TechnologyCommittee has set out to identify the trends and innovations driving the digital revolution, with the aim of helping digital companies assimilate them into their offerings, their business models and their own organization. This white paper also aims to help them assess their digital maturity, in order to trigger or accelerate their digital transformation.

It is divided into three parts:

  • a look at 9 disruptive innovations (Big Data, IoT, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Cloud Services, Collaborative Economy, Open API, Fast IT, 3D Chain), their promises, uses and challenges, as well as the ethical and security framework in which they operate;
  • an analysis of the impact of the 9 innovations on business models, followed by suggestions on how to succeed in the digital transition and assume the new role of “trusted third party”;
  • a digital maturity grid designed to assess your company’s level of transformation.

“With digital innovations, we are moving from ownership to sharing, from individual control to mutualization, from system to ecosystem… At the same time, we obviously need to rethink the management of our data and the associated risks. Digital companies play a major role in the implementation of this new societal order. It’s up to us to build a new contract of trust, or risk being replaced by new entrants. This is a real challenge for the organizations in our sector: not only do they have to transform themselves, but they also have to support their customers’ transformation, explains Frédéric Sebag, Chairman of Syntec Numérique’s Innovation & Technologies Committee.

“This work on innovations and their impact aims to shed light so that every organization can decide with greater clarity. Digital companies have many assets, but they also face cultural obstacles and new competitors. One thing is certain: none of them can escape this digital and societal revolution. Using the e-maturity grid at the end of the white paper to take stock of the situation will enable them to make an initial diagnosis of their situation”, concludes Frédéric Sebag.
