Accelerating the post-Covid economic recovery: 4 recommendations from the G7 digital industry associations

To ensure that technological innovation continues to benefit not only G7 economies, but also the wider community, the trade associations united under the Tech7 banner are calling on their governments to work together to facilitate global trade flows and establish common rules for the digital economy, prioritizing transparent, compatible and non-discriminatory approaches to digital policy at global level.

Tech7 strongly encourages G7 countries to integrate 4 key objectives into their strategies for economic recovery and post-pandemic resilience:

• Putting digital technology at the heart of commercial relations;
• Build cooperation around the ethical and responsible adoption of emerging technologies;
• Using digital solutions to combat climate change;
• Cooperate to improve digital literacy and the participation of citizens and businesses in the digital economy.
