Numeum: relay partner
The digital industry and professions are the most represented in these new P-TECH projects, and as such, the professional organization of the digital ecosystem, Numeum, has become a relay partner to help deploy P-TECH, particularly among its members.
Godefroy de Bentzmann and Pierre-Marie Lehucher

The P-TECH educational model (ptech.org) was first launched by IBM in 2011 and has been adopted in hundreds of schools in dozens of countries in collaboration with hundreds of companies and high schools.
In France, as part of this initiative run by the Ministry of Education, students benefit from mentoring by professionals from partner companies over a five-year period, from the second year of vocational school through to the BTS, notably in the form of individualized support for their schooling and professional integration (advice and encouragement), classroom interventions on technical or behavioral skills, technology workshops, job discovery sessions, interview preparation, company visits or internships, etc. A P-TECH coordinator, present in the lycée and recruited by the main partner, organizes and adapts the contributions of partner companies or public players, in liaison with the lycée’s teaching staff. A P-TECH coordinator, based at the school and recruited by the main partner, organizes and adapts the contributions of the partner companies and public players, in close collaboration with the school’s teaching staff.
To bring the world of education closer to the digital world, IBM has created IBM SkillsBuild for students(http://skillsbuild.org), offering free, interactive online learning paths to prepare them for the professional world. They can strengthen their technical and professional skills with videos, courses, assessments and badge certifications on topics such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, CV writing, collaborative working, project presentation, time management and more. Teachers also have access to features for assigning content of their choice to their students, and a dashboard for tracking progress. A discussion forum is available for both students and teachers.
