Response to the call for comments on the ANSSI cloud repository

This framework responds to the need for public authorities to specify their requirements for the deployment of Cloud services for public entities, within the scope of the State’s regalian functions, depending on the risks and nature of the information they process.

The rise of the Cloud is beneficial to organizations of all sizes and in all sectors. To support this growth, we need to streamline what today appears to be a multiplicity of repositories, the existence of which imposes significant costs on players in this field, in the context of strong international competition, at a time when Europe is trying to create an integrated digital market. Security, confidentiality and compliance with standards are responsibilities shared between Cloud players and their private-sector customers.

In its field of competence, ANSSI can play a key role in this rationalization, by supporting the relevance of international standards that already serve as a reference for Cloud players, so that all players, and in particular new market entrants, adopt them at controlled cost.

Syntec Numérique submits its comments to the ANSSI, with a view to promoting precise, stable and internationally harmonized cloud computing, outside the scope of government activities.
