Parliament, today’s session includes the definition of platform obligations, without consultation with digital players

Contrary to the commitments made to the industry and parliamentarians by the Prime Minister and Secretary of State for the Digital Sector, Axelle Lemaire, the subject of “Internet platforms” has been introduced as an amendment, without any consultation with players in the digital ecosystem.
Syntec Numérique will shortly be presenting its analysis and proposals on the subject.
For Laurent Baudart, General Delegate of Syntec Numérique, “at a time when there is neither definition nor visibility on this subject, which is presented as European, Parliament is settling a debate that has never taken place. We call on the Minister of the Economy, Industry and the Digital Economy to request the withdrawal of this amendment at today’s sitting.
