Michel Combot appointed Managing Director of Numeum

Formerly Managing Director of the Fédération Française des Télécoms (FFTélécoms), Michel Combot has 25 years’ experience in the digital economy, telecoms and media.

At the same time, he headed France’s “digital infrastructures and services” strategic committee, bringing together the entire digital ecosystem, from equipment manufacturers to research institutes, to promote the development of the digital economy through private/public partnerships. Until May 9, Michel Combot was also Vice-Chairman of the European association EuroISPA, which represents the voice of Internet service providers in Europe, interacting frequently with the Commission and European legislators.

Michel Combot has also spent almost 18 years working for the French government, in the USA and in France, for ARCEP (Autorité de régulation des communications électroniques et des postes) and for ARCOM, helping to define and implement numerous public policies linked to the digital economy, from the telecoms industry to digital media and services.

Michel Combot, 49, is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique (class of 1993) and Télécom Paris (class of 1998).
