Its shared ambition is to make France a leader in the new global industrial generation, propelling us into the heart of new industrial systems. With a concrete objective: that all companies, and particularly SMEs, can benefit from operational support to make their production facilities and overall organization more efficient.
The rapprochement and convergence of views between the ecosystems gathered around this industrial reconquest project (digital, mechanical, electrical, services, etc.), the world of education and the political sphere demonstrate the importance we attach to modernizing and digitizing industrial companies, with a targeted approach aimed in particular at SMEs in our regions.
The new industrial systems fully integrate the transformation of our ecosystem, through new production technologies (composites, additive manufacturing, advanced robotics, virtualization…), strong digital integration (cloud, big data, connected objects…), the saving of natural resources, the sharing of design functions and the strong revaluation of the place of man in the factory of tomorrow. While France has undeniable assets to play a major role in this industrial revolution, it faces a real challenge in the face of heightened global competition.
Tomorrow’s flexible, agile, connected industry must be able to exploit huge volumes of data and continually adapt to its environment. It therefore requires cutting-edge technological developments, supported by French research organizations that are recognized as world-class, particularly in the fields of digital systems and manufacturing. What’s more, this transformation represents a real opportunity for industry to regain its place in society through innovation, quality and respect for the environment, as well as through training and the dissemination of skills. This dissemination responds to the need for social and professional integration, as well as to the challenges of our employees’ present and future employability.
The association’s concrete proposals include 3 emblematic actions: the creation and promotion – by the end of 2016 – of more than 15 emblematic projects on a national or even European scale, raising awareness of digital transformation among more than 15,000 companies and supporting 2,000 industrial SMEs and ETIs in their modernization projects, and the deployment of technology platforms accessible to manufacturers throughout France.
We called for a general mobilization of companies and all the players present here (professional organizations, ministries, local authorities, research organizations, etc.) to ensure that declarations of principle are translated into concrete, far-reaching action, so that our companies can win the race for competitiveness! We are delighted that this plan and this association respond to this wish, and that it extends and amplifies the actions undertaken within the framework of Plan 34 of the New Industrial France.
