Femmes remarquables: How did you hear about the Femmes remarquables association?

Véronique di Benedetto :I’ve known IsabelleDeprezetfor several years now, and I love her positive energy and the way she dares with courage and confidence!
It was therefore natural for me to accept, on behalf of Femmes du Numérique, a Syntec Numérique commission, to take part in this initiative….. “initiative.

How do you relate to the values of this association?

These are inspiring values that combine joy, pride, constructive daring and leadership. They help shape a more open and caring world.

And what about the 2015 theme “DARE TALENTS!
We all have talents. What sets us apart is our ability to nurture and bring out our own talents, and to welcome and recognize the talents of others.
So I really like the phrase “Dare to be talented”, because it implies your own AND that of others.
And the more we are inspired by different talents, the more we will set ourselves in motion to find our own: why shouldn’t I? Talent requires hard work, daring, confidence and experimentation.
At Femmes du numérique we aim to encourage women to join the digital community, which offers a wealth of jobs, potential for advancement, diverse and rich expertise, and entrepreneurship.

We’re highlighting role models (female talents who are expressing themselves!) and we’re saying to young girls and women “Dare to go digital”, these are professions that can also be conjugated in the feminine and that need you to take part in transforming the world.

What does the expression “the next step” evoke for you?
It’s an invitation to take concrete action, to get moving, while being open enough to leave the field open to experimentation and initiatives of all kinds.
It’s an expression that encourages talent to bring a constructive dynamic to society, art and business…..

What does talent mean to you?
It’s a combination of know-how and interpersonal skills.
It’s the ability to mobilize and share a skill that gives pleasure, and which is often crowned with success, even if not always immediately.
Because talent requires constant learning, self-questioning, nourishment from its environment, experimentation, innovation and the joy of bringing a new vision to a situation.
Talent is curious and courageous, and needs to be cultivated with patience and determination.

What’s the point of highlighting talent in your business?
At Femmes du Numérique, we aim to highlight the talents of all women, because women bring a perspective that complements that of men in an environment characterized by speed, unpredictability and complexity.
We need talented people who can offer new solutions to the digital transformation of our times, and who are committed to these changes.
We believe that women must be part of this digital adventure and challenge. Yet today, less than 30% of women work in these professions, which is too few given the opportunities.
