JEM’NUM in Angers!

“Digital Companies and Professions Day

In partnership with the Syntec Federation and Syntec Numérique, ISTIA, the engineering school of the University of Angers, is organizing “JEM’NUM”, a day of meetings between students and companies in the digital sector, on Friday November 21. The forum will bring together a number of courses from the University of Angers (IMIS, the Faculty of Science’s Computer Science Department, ISTIA, etc.), with more than600 students in the engineering and digital fields and some65 companies.

With the aim of promoting the recruitment potential1 and the diversity of jobs in the digital sector in France, “JEM’NUM” aims in particular to:

  • present internship and job offers,
  • conduct initial interviews and encourage meetings between young people and professionals,
  • offer perspectives on employability through conferences,
  • expose students to potential recruiters.

Laurent Baudart, General Delegate of Syntec Numérique, will be on hand to discuss the sector’s attractiveness to young people. A driver of employment and innovation, the digital sector has always been a creator of skilled, high value-added jobs. It created 6,000 net new jobs in 2013, and is expected to create more than 36,000 by 20181.
