2023 growth for the Digital sector

All business lines reported strong growth: +10.3% for Cloud Platforms and Publishers, +5.5% for Technology Consulting (ICT) and +4.1% for Digital Services Companies (DSC).

Dynamic growth driven by :

▪️ Cloud C&SI (Consulting and Systems Integration, the largest sector, with +17.5% growth in 2023), Big Data (+18%)

▪️ Safety (+10.2%, thanks to increased investment and outsourcing in the face of heightened risks),

▪️ AI services (a market worth 1.1 billion euros, with very strong growth of +22.9% vs. 2023)

▪️ Responsible digital services (the smallest segment (0.7 billion euros), but the most dynamic: +39.3%).

Our sector continues to recruit strongly, although less so than in 2022, which was a record year (47,000 net new jobs).

Startups are also showing strong momentum, with +23,000 net new jobs recorded in our January startup employment barometer. The GreenTech, Transport tech and Fintech sectors are recruiting the most.

Recruitment continues to be difficult, due to the severe shortage of people trained in the digital sector, strong competition on the job market and pressure on salaries.

Digital companies see generative AI as a real opportunity to improve their business and develop new business for their customers.

2024 is set to be another year of growth for the sector, with an estimated +5.8% and a market expected to reach 70 billion next year. Generative AI and digital responsibility will be among the year’s development levers.
