Bill on transparency, the fight against corruption and the modernization of economic life: Amendment adopted
Inspired by the European Commission’s draft Directive, amendment no. CL 743 introducesa public “country-by-country” financialreporting obligation.
Initially applicable to companies with sales in excess of €750 million, this measure will gradually be extended to smaller companies: the threshold will be lowered to €500 million and €250 million respectively two and four years after the scheme comes into force.
These provisions are due to come into force the day after the date of entry into force of the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Directive 2013/34/EU, and byJuly 1,2017 at the latest. They apply to financial years beginning on or after that date.
Syntec Numérique reminds legislators of the importance of not going beyond European obligations, so as not to penalize French companies in the face of global competition, but also of the sensitive nature of the data that would be publicly published if the text were to be definitively adopted.
Syntec Numérique, in collaboration with MEDEF, has therefore taken up the issue.
