Action plan for the digital transformation of VSEs and SMEs
Like all digital industry players, CINOV-IT and Syntec Numérique are all too often aware of the gaps between large companies and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their digital transition. All companies, especially the smallest and most fragile, must be able to prepare for their digital transformation, before they make it. And they need support to do so.
Launched by the Government in 2012, the “Digital Transition” program has suffered from insufficient mobilization on the part of political staff and low budget allocations. The results have been meagre, with VSEs and small SMEs structurally unable to carry out large-scale digital migration.
Faced with this situation, CINOV-IT and Syntec Numérique would like to jointly propose an action plan, integrating the necessary mobilization and involvement of local authorities, particularly the Regions. This joint roadmap, which will be presented to the next government team and to all regional executives, will include:
- Mapping the needs of small businesses
- Identification and referencing of services on offer
- Support systems based on existing experience
- Adapted and simplified financing solutions
- Promoting and raising awareness among local businesses
Alain Prallong, President of CINOV-IT, explains: “ It has to be said that the subject of the spread of digital technology among French VSEs and SMEs, and the benefits it can bring, received little attention in the election campaign. And yet, it is a strong conviction that there is a real urgency to embrace this movement. CINOV-IT and Syntec Numérique, weary of waiting and reinforced by the recommendations of the recent #croissanceconnectée report by the Conseil national du numérique, are joining forces to propose a concrete and operational action plan. “

Godefroy de Bentzmann, President of Syntec Numérique, emphasizes: “The digital transformation of our VSEs and SMEs is a major challenge for our public authorities and for the modernization and competitiveness of our economy. It’s also our priority, and one for which we want to mobilize at every level. Only then will our companies be able to benefit from the tremendous opportunities offered by digital technology, to develop their business or access new markets.”
