Notre-Dame de Paris: Syntec Numérique lends its expertise to cathedral restoration
Thanks to the diversity of their high value-added professions, Syntec Numérique members
have a wide range of skills and resources that can be mobilized to help
with the large-scale reconstruction of the cathedral, and are therefore committed to making all their expertise available to
.
In this vein, Syntec Numérique has already confirmed, in the early hours, to
the Direction Générale des Entreprises (DGE) that it will mobilize all the companies in
its ecosystem (software publishing, technology consulting, digital services, etc.),
as soon as the needs for the reconstruction of Notre-Dame are specified, and this with
the support of digital technologies (data processing and analysis, 3D simulations,
etc.).
While digital technology is already a major factor in helping companies in general to operate
and even create value, this is particularly true in the field of
construction and works. For example, construction companies use a whole
range of digital solutions to manage their business (administrative and
financial management, site planning and monitoring, etc.), while architectural and engineering firms at
BTP also use a panoply of digital tools for building design and maintenance
(CAD, BIM, CMMS, etc.).
At this stage, Syntec Numérique is proposing, on the one hand, assistance in analyzing the
datas that will have been recovered, and on the other, the use of new technologies such as
concrete 3D printing to rebuild complex parts.
Finally, Syntec Numérique suggests the installation of smart, connected systems to ensure better monitoring and maintenance of the future
structure.
“The existence of digital replicas will enable us to faithfully repair destroyed parts. We hope that all the data can be used, and we are putting all the resources of our companies at the disposal of the future project to serve the common good”, comments Godefroy de Bentzman, President of Syntec Numérique.
