During a trip to Roubaix on April 5, 2018, Muriel Pénicaud, Minister of Labor, and Mounir Mahjoubi, Secretary of State for the Digital Sector, officially presented the “10,000 training courses for digital professions” Plan.

Designed to meet the skills needs of businesses and promote inclusion by giving low-skilled young people and jobseekers the opportunity to train, the plan also aims to ensure a balanced territorial distribution of training opportunities.

Syntec Numérique welcomes the government’s commitment, and is renewing and expanding its investment in the two schemes in which it can intervene: the Grande Ecole du Numérique and the Préparation Opérationnelle à l’Emploi.

These schemes are helping to address the skills shortage in our sector, which created 19,000 net jobs in 2016. They will also reinforce the transformation of other sectors, which need to upgrade the skills of their employees towards digital professions – and anticipate new recruitment needs.

As a reminder, between 2014 and 2017, companies in the sector trained and recruited 13,300 jobseekers thanks to thePOE, while the Grande Ecole du Numérique, of which Syntec Numérique is a founding member, has trained 10,000 learners since its launch in 2015.

According to Godefroy de Bentzmann, President of Syntec Numérique: “Already committed to the Grande Ecole du Numérique and the promotion of POE in our sector, Syntec Numérique is proud to be a partner of the” 10,000 digital training courses “plan. The transformation of our economy now underway means that we need to be able to count on all our talents”.
