The latest Syntec Numérique – BVA innovation barometer reveals a dynamic fourth quarter for software publishers. Reflecting the sector’s good health, the results reveal a sharp rise in hiring and investment forecasts.

  • 77% are confident about the future

This economic optimism rate is 11 points higher than in October 2014 (66%). The 70% mark had not been reached since July 2011.

  • 66% believe they are on or above target

Publishers report a very favorable situation regarding the progress of their objectives: 16% say they are above their 2014 targets (+4 points on December 2013), and 50% are in line with what they had set themselves (49% in December 2013).

  • 56% of publishers plan to increase headcount

Optimistic about their company’s economic future, publishers plan to hire in the coming months(+4 points compared with October and +10 points compared with June 2014).

  • 79%will invest in new projects in the next three months

Nearly four out of five publishers plan to invest in new projects in the coming quarter, the highest rate ever recorded in this barometer (+7 points compared with October 2014).
