How can we train more than 400,000 digital experts by 2027?

On March 24, we were on hand to discuss the matter with the French Minister for Vocational Education and Training. Our message: feminize our professions and promote retraining.

It’s the sinews of war for our startups and SMEs: they need financing to innovate! We headed for Bercy on March 30, where we met with MP Paul Midy, who is deeply involved in this issue.

We presented him with our recommendations, notably to strengthen the levers of innovation taxation, financing and attractiveness. We also made him aware of the need to consolidate the European Tech ecosystem and make use of public and private orders.

The digital sector will be recruiting 232,000 people by 2027 – we need talent!

How can we attract young people to our professions?

On March 31, we were invited by the DGESCO to talk about courses, curricula, pedagogy and mixed curricula at lycée, in the general, vocational and technological streams. This was an opportunity to put forward our proposals and actions to develop digital training and skills at lycée. In particular, the promotion of NSI specialization in the general stream and the PTECH program in the vocational stream.

And meanwhile, in Brussels…

For those of you who have been hibernating for months, there’s a lot of talk about AI at the moment…ah ah! And in particular the IA Act, a European regulatory approach to AI based on risk, without abusively hindering technological development. On April 27, we had our 6th working session on AI with the European Parliament (co-organized by Numeum and our German (Bitkom) and European counterparts DIGITALEUROPE).

Numeum plays a leading role in shaping the European Parliament’s position.

Joining forces with our European counterparts to make an impact! That means formal meetings… and informal ones! On March 30, we co-organized our 2nd Afterwork with our German (Bitkom), Finnish (TIF) and British (TECH UK) counterparts. A way of strengthening the Numeum ecosystem in Brussels by bringing together members, European institutions and partners. A full house – 80 of us!

More adventures to come…
