The Ile-de-France region and Syntec Numérique are thus continuing their commitment to young people, offering training courses tailored to the digital professions, a sector that is expected to recruit 35,000 people in 2014, with the expertise of thePasc@line association.

Paris Region has always been a forerunner in the digital sector: it created Europe’s leading cluster in the field of information and communication technologies, and is home to the largest concentration of IT and telecoms specialists in the European Union. Of Syntec Numérique’s 1,200 member companies, 60% are based in the Paris Region.

An agreement to train young people

The aim of the agreement is to create an apprenticeship training map that meets the needs of digital professionals as closely as possible.

Syntec Numérique participates in :

  • The development of digital training courses, as an expert and in support of regional departments responsible for examining CFA applications.
  • Give a label to CFAs that provide high-quality support for young people.

“Public authorities and professional organizations need to work together to offer training adapted to a rapidly changing market. Digital technology is present in all business sectors. It is a real lever for growth and dynamism, and contributes to the transformation of companies”, declares Guy Mamou-Mani, President of Syntec Numérique. “This agreement sends a strong signal both to young people, who should consider apprenticeship as a privileged means of access to employment, and to companies, which can thus become part of tomorrow’s economy.”

Seven actions to develop apprenticeships in the Paris Region

One of the objectives of this COM is to increase the number of apprentices in new technologies by 5% a year, to around 250. Syntec Numérique and the Ile-de-France region are implementing seven initiatives to raise awareness of the digital professions.

Syntec Numérique will organize the labeling process for CFAs in the Paris region, and will award the label in 2015 according to criteria that it must define in conjunction with the Ile-de-France Region, and CFAs committed to the process.
