New! Industry of the Future” Committee

On April 14, French President François Hollande launched an ambitious “Industrie du Futur” project and plan, in line with the renewed organization of the “Factory of the Future” plan of the Nouvelle France Industrielle, around a smaller number of priorities:

  • a broader scope encompassing the whole issue of industrial modernization and digitization
  • enhanced intervention resources
  • a stronger European and international dimension

As the matrix of France’s industrial strategy, this plan becomes the pillar of the second phase of the Nouvelle France Industrielle (New Industrial France) program, launched on Monday May 18 by French Minister of the Economy and Finance Emmanuel Macron in Nantes. The announced objective is clear and ambitious: to successfully re-industrialize France, by organizing national mobilization.

Syntec Numérique has invested heavily in this ambitious plan, along with other professional organizations, schools and R&D centers, notably by forming a joint association. The association’s concrete proposals include three emblematic actions:

  • Raising awareness of digital transformation among more than 15,000 companies, and supporting 2,000 SMEs and industrial SMEs in their modernization projects.
  • The creation and promotion – by the end of 2016 – of more than fifteen emblematic projects on a national or even European scale.
  • The deployment of technology platforms accessible to manufacturers throughout France.

This involvement requires the mobilization of our members and the digital ecosystem, in order to respond to expectations and requests: creation of a “digital industrial SMEs” reference system, reflection on the technological offerings to be developed, regional deployment (…). To this end, we have set up an in-house “Industry of the Future” Committee to carry out this work and interface with the Association.

An information meeting on the “Industry of the Future” plan and the launch of this Committee will take place on Tuesday May 26 at 5:00 pm in our offices, reserved in priority for our members.
