What’s more, these innovations are transforming and irrigating all areas of society: healthcare, education, the environment, industry, security and public services. Digital businesses, which are at the forefront of technological change, are faced with rapidly evolving skills and the emergence of new professions, but are also suffering from a structural shortage of employees. The number of trained technicians and engineers is structurally insufficient in France: at all levels, for all professions. Over the past five years, the sector has created an average of more than 30,000 net new jobs per year, but France is still short of 10,000 IT graduates per year.
