The package includes 1.05 billion euros of investment by the French government and affiliated bodies, 200 million euros of European funding, and 550 million euros of private-sector investment.

In detail, this plan aims to fertilize work on quantum system simulators (350 million euros), computers (430 million euros), sensors (200 million euros), cryptography (150 million euros), communications (320 million euros) and so-called enabling technologies, such as photon generation or cryogenics (290 million euros). Added to this is an investment dedicated to the attractiveness of training.

Syntec Numérique salutes this ambitious plan and the efforts made by the French government and private companies to promote this technology of the future.

We call on the entire ecosystem to mobilize in order to scale up this plan, which although unprecedented and substantial, is still inferior to the investments made in this field by China and the United States.

Syntec Numérique had contributed to the mission entrusted to Paula Forteza, MP for French citizens established outside France on quantum missions in September 2019, for which we had called for the creation of an ambitious national strategy(Find our position paper on this topic), and will continue to work alongside companies to make France a leader in quantum.
