OPEN LETTER FROM THE DIGITAL SECTOR

This open letter, published in Le Figaro, Les Echos and Le Parisien, calls on the President of the Republic, members of the government, elected representatives and social partners to speed up the process of modernizing our production system, while adapting our workforce to this industrial revolution.

“The government is preparing a recovery plan for the autumn of September, so that our economy can return to its pre-crisis level by 2021. The top priority of this plan must be massive investment by public authorities in the technologies and Industry of the Future (industrial internet, AI, 5G, robotization…). These major tech projects are the responsibility of the public sector, both nationally and territorially, with the aim of accelerating the digitization of the State and local authorities. As for the digital transformation of companies, particularly in industry, this will require a massive effort to support productive investment, via the creation of a support fund, as well as the suramortissement, the research tax credit and existing schemes.This plan will enable us to better digitalize our healthcare, our public services, our administrations, our schools and our companies, while providing tech solutions to agricultural and environmental challenges.”
