2015 edition of the Femmes du Numérique survey
The Commission Femmes du Numérique (Women in the Digital Sector Commission) has set up a set of benchmark indicators to track efforts to promote gender equality in the workplace.
MARKESS partnered with this research to defi nition and monitor the indicators. The online survey carried out by the analysis firm from July to August 2015 among 62 companies, members of Syntec Numérique within the three colleges (51% of the Digital Services Companies College (ESN, and other 12%), 34% of the Publishers College and 15% of the Technology Consulting College) enabled these indicators to be filled in and put into perspective with the results of previous surveys.
In 2012, Femmes du Numérique set itself the goal of increasing the number of recruitments and advancing the promotion of women in the digital sector by 2020. With 35,000 new hires and 12,000 net job creations in 2014, women have their rightful place in this attractive and dynamic sector, which offers numerous career opportunities. Femmes du Numérique has achieved this objective: between 2010 and 2014, the recruitment rate for women rose from 22% to 26%, and the change in promotions from 23% to 26%.
