Immerse yourself with Numeum at Vivatech 2024!

Regions, skills, responsible digital, business support… A Numeum delegation fully committed to VivaTech 2024!

A look back at the Numeum delegation at Vivatechnology 2024

This major annual event dedicated to innovation and startups was an opportunity to meet our members and partners present at this 2024 edition. It was the perfect opportunity to highlight :

  • our three strategic priorities “regions, skills and responsible digital” around a collective ambition “to federate our ecosystems and promote digital excellence”.
  • our business support for startups and innovative SMEs, with a particular focus on internationalization and collaborations with major customers.

Our regions, the heart and lungs of digital France

With more than half of our members and French Tech startups based in the regions, Numeum has taken advantage of their strong presence to make the territories a centerpiece of its Vivatechnology journey.

Indeed, without these regions and the people who drive them on a daily basis, digital technology would not be able to reach its full potential and contribute to the major economic and societal transformations our country needs.

Accompanied by 3 of our 12 regional delegates – Yannick Berezaie, Christophe Brizot and Olivier Cazzulo – our President, Véronique Torner, was able to meet with key players from the Île de la Réunion, Centre Val de Loire and Sud regions. It was an opportunity to discuss their roadmaps on key topics such as artificial intelligence, skills and trusted digital technologies.

Planet Tech'Care, digital technology as a responsible commitment to the planet!

Spearheaded by Numeum, Planet Tech’Care is the first initiative to bring together a network of partners (professional organizations, schools, competitive clusters, associations, foundations, think tanks), with the ambition of supporting companies wishing to integrate digital technology into their environmental trajectory. The initiative also aims to support training providers in the development of responsible digital skills. Numeum is proud that its Planet Tech’Care initiative now has over 1,000 signatories.

But because there can never be too many committed players, Vivatechnology was also a great opportunity to get even more on board. Represented by its President, François Bonneau, the Centre-Val de Loire Region thus became the first French region to officially commit to Planet Tech’Care. This collective success is due in no small part to the work of Christophe Brizot, our regional delegate for Centre-Val de Loire, and Christophe Douane, member of the Numeum regional delegation board.

At this 2024 edition, Philippe Legrand, President of InfraNum, also signed his commitment to making this federation of the telecoms infrastructure sector a new partner on which to rely. Led by Gilles Mezari, our Chairman of the Digital & Environment Commission, this signature demonstrates the diversity of players committed to making digital an ally for the planet.

International expansion and collaborations with major groups, the cornerstones of our business support strategy

To support the growth of its companies, Numeum runs a program to help them develop their business. The deployment of our members on foreign markets and their cooperation with major principals are two levers that we believe are essential to the long-term growth of our companies and to France’s influence in the world. To achieve this, Numeum relies on its long-standing partners such as Team France Export/Business France and Mission French Tech.

So it was only natural that our President, Véronique Torner, and the General Manager of Business France, Laurent Saint-Martin, should highlight these themes at Vivatechnology.

Numeum and Business France selected and brought together 5 international buyers (Enel Group, Ergo, Repsol, SEB and La Poste Suisse) so that they could present their technological needs during a Reverse Pitch session, and meet our members likely to meet them. All this in an informal and convivial setting, punctuated by a networking cocktail.

Along with Marina Ferrari, Maurice Levy, Clara Chappaz and Pierre Pelouzet, Guillaume Buffet, director in charge of startups, also celebrated the one-year anniversary of “Je Choisis La French Tech” on behalf of Numeum. The aim of this program is to double public and private orders for our startups by 2027. One year after its launch for the 2023 edition, Numeum is proud to note that theObservatory set up by the Médiateur des Entreprises is already showing encouraging initial results. We have been associated with this responsible approach since its launch, and will continue to expand it.

Feminization of the sector, innovation in healthcare…. Other highlights and major challenges for Numeum at Vivatech.

At a time when only 22% of startups have at least one woman among their founders, the feminization of our sector is a priority for Numeum. That’s what our Nova in Tech program is all about, with its focus on raising the profile of female entrepreneurs.

With the support of our partners, the CCI Paris Île-de-France and Business France, we brought together a delegation of 10 women entrepreneurs to present their projects to organizations such as Mazars, New York City, financiers and other principals.

Spearheaded by Maÿlis Staub, Comex member in charge of the Femmes du Numérique program, and moderated by Delphine Morandet, our Nova In Tech Regional Delegate for Franche-Compté, the event also featured several members: Jawaher Allala (Systnaps), and Sihame Allali (PGT Group), Marine Brogli (DPO Consulting) and Katya Lainé (Talkr).

Because our Healthcare Commission is one of the most active within Numeum, its President, Anne-Sophie Bouy, and Véronique Torner visited the Software République. The latter includes the Renault group and some of our major members (Thales, Dassault Systèmes, Orange and Eviden). The objective? To show us an innovative use case developed by this group. Which use case? The launch of an autonomous vehicle to bring healthcare services closer to citizens/patients throughout France.

Last but not least, Vivatech 2024 was also an opportunity for our President to meet many of our ecosystem partners: Dominique Restino, President of the CCI Paris Île de France, Ulrich Ahle, CEO of Gaïa X, Odile Gauthier, Managing Director of the Institut Mines Telecom, Catherine Mayenobe,
Deputy Managing Director of Caisse des Dépôts and Patrick Laurens-Frings, Director of Operational Transformation, Digital and Group IS at Caisse des Dépôts.

Numeum looks forward to seeing you at the next Vivatechnology in 2025!
