Tour de France IA: Report at the crossroads of innovation and territories!

Ahead of the Summit for Action on Artificial Intelligence, which will bring together the major international players in AI at the Grand Palais on February 10 and 11, 2025, the Medef, regional and territorial Medef in partnership with the union and leading organization of digital professionals, NUMEUM, have organized a grand Tour de France de l’AI from October 30, 2024 to February 4, 2025

Tour de France IA report

The Tour de France de l’AI had several key objectives:

  • Making business leaders aware of the wealth of opportunities offered by AI, while gathering their perceptions and concrete experiences. MEDEF wants to give its 190,000 member companies the keys to integrating AI into their processes, accelerating their gains in productivity and competitiveness, and making it a powerful tool in the face of contemporary challenges: ecological transition, demographics, training, inclusion…

  • Stimulate territorial dialogue, by bringing together elected representatives, economic players and local leaders to build forward-looking synergies with NUMEUM’s member digital companies, present throughout France. To enrich the strategic orientations of our organization, by gathering feedback from the field through concrete cases and valuable testimonials, which will feed our contribution to the Summit for Action on AI in Paris.

Step by step, members of these networks were invited to listen to the testimonies of experts and business leaders to better understand the different uses of AI and the benefits they could derive from it.

Within each region, each territory, these meetings have enabled everyone to familiarize themselves with the opportunities of AI, relying on the strength of the collective, support and the human touch.

Key findings of the Tour de France de l’AI

The results of this tour are as follows:

  • The enthusiastic response from the large audience at each stage;
  • A wide variety of implementation examples from companies of all sizes and in all sectors (winegrowers, communications agencies, medical services, industrial maintenance, office design, etc.);
  • That innovation depends above all on the initiative and creativity of business leaders, who have little recourse to support systems that are, moreover, poorly identified;
  • There is a need to continue these exchanges between companies for a nationwide “mentoring” program;
  • A major need for access to computing power: for a massive plan for access to power for companies that make AI and those that use it;
  • A need for skills.
