European Cyber Security Month: do you know the digital security professions?
To mark the second week of European Cybersecurity Month, dedicated to training and careers, Syntec Numérique has published the joint list of digital security careers drawn up by a working group initiated by ANSSI and comprising representatives from higher education and industry, including Syntec Numérique.
In 2016, at the initiative of Syntec Numérique, the Observatoire Paritaire des Métiers du Numérique, de l’Ingénierie, des Etudes et du Conseil et des métiers de l’événement (OPIIEC), launched a study on training and skills requirements in the cybersecurity sector. Published in June 2017, theresultsof this study, carried out by Cabinet EY, include a mapping of cybersecurity professions. ANSSI, which had taken part in this work, has decided to update the list of professions it drew up in 2015, involving the various stakeholders including Syntec Numérique in order to arrive at acommon listof Cybersecurity professions.
This list is structured around five main profile categories:
- Steering, organization and risk management
- Project management and life cycle
- Operation and maintenance
- Support and incident management
- Consulting, audit and expertise
In addition, and based on this common list, theCybersecurityCommitteeofSyntec Numérique has decided to draw up an analysis grid determining, for each of the jobs listed, the socio-professional category (managerial or non-managerial), the position and the coefficient applicable in accordance with theNational Collective Agreementapplicable to the Personnel of Technical Design Offices, Consulting Engineering Firms and Consulting Companies, known as “Syntec”, in the light of practices observed within the companies, members of Syntec Numérique’s Cybersecurity Committee. The table provides a ranking based on concrete examples of cybersecurity professions observed in digital companies, with a position and a starting coefficient for each.
